Will We Have A Draft?

Authored By Dave Webb

I pulled no punches on this one. I lost a lot of good friends in the Vietnam War. This is semi-humorous suggestion on a draft. But when you see dregs of society out there on drugs and welfare people who are really victims of unemployment. When you see people that will never work a day in their lives because of disabilities. Then you compare that with the fine young men that were slaughtered in that war because of the draft, totally discriminatory in its handling, then these words hold meaning. A lot of people might even agree with my assessment of why any draft is wrong. But I feel a draft is going to happen. It will happen because they cannot get people to go to war at any price with the way the current group is handling our military. Four terms of service in Iraq? They obviously never served in service.

What if we go to War? I mean a real knock-down, drag-out war with a major nation like China or Russia. People become a premium. Human army waves meant to die will be sent against us.

Will there be a draft? I have nothing against a draft. I do have a different set of ideas on how a draft should be administered.

I want an equal opportunity employer in the draft. I think if we do have a draft it should be universal. No one is exempt and no one has a 4-F status. You take the college bound. You take the rich. You take the poor. You take everyone, not just males. I think since females want equality, it is only fair to include them in a draft. And not just straight people. You take all the people no matter what their affliction sexually. Putting that group together in a unit might be really interesting! Especially after the bullet start flying!

I think a draft should draft all the people on welfare first. They do need jobs. They are poverty stricken, right? And the armed forces has a bad attitude towards people that are somewhat challenged. Beggars cannot be choosers. If you have a draft you are begging. So you take everyone that needs a job first. If you are on welfare, we have a job for you! I guess the rules will have to change to compensate for these losers. If nothing else put them all on KP! I know the barracks have to be kept clean. Let them clean the restrooms! Or maybe we need a comprehensive test to see what they can do besides sit on their fat behinds in front of a TV drinking a beer. Probably a lot of good computer hackers in that group too.

I think the challenged should have motivation to correct their condition. So I think they should be the first to be shipped overseas to hazardous duty. Since we have to have people at risk, why not the people that nature would select to die first anyway? So lets ship the useless into battle first. If they live, they have all those Veteran benefits for the rest of their lives.

For too long we have ignored nature. In the wild, nature uses predators to ween out the herd. Weaklings are usually ate first by the predators. The ones that cannot keep up with the herd are dinner first. As a result you have very few defective individuals in a herd. For too long we have ignored nature. The human species has over 400 genetic diseases. This is because we allow them to live and reproduce. Natural law is vicious. It eliminates the weak, the stupid, the lazy, before they can reproduce.

I think we should take the most useless group in this draft first. I suggest we draft the U.S. Congress. After all, which group of people provides the least contribution to society? Which group is most overpayed in history? Which group is exempt from all the laws they throw at us? By serving two terms, this group has voted itself a pension equal to their salary for life. By drafting this group, I can guarantee you that the war will never come about. The one thing this group is really excellent at is looking out for number one. If their potatos are in the fire, believe me, they will find a way for it not to happen. We as a people have to be careful here because they will sell us into slavery to protect their own interests.

All of the suggested groups above cannot pass a physical. I think we should exempt them from the physical. The idea is to reverse the damage done by well meaning people that allow these people to pass their afflictions on to future generations. I think the military might provide them with the discipline they need to cope with life without being a burden on the rest of us.

This solution would probably resolve the national debt.

Of course, it is totally unrealistic. The entire article is given in humor. I am not really serious. What is more likely to happen is the military will grab the poor fit people.

The Congress will send the cream of our youth into the front lines to be killed. Only the people that figure out a way to be exempt will survive. There is something seriously wrong with a draft willing to sacrifice our best people in the deadly wars of this world and allow the defectives to reproduce and pass on all their defects to future generations exempting them from serving. That is serious and very wrong.

I find it interesting that very few of our Presidents have served in the military in recent times.

President George Bush was a National Guardsman. Only he went AWOL. That should have prevented him from being qualified to be a President. Technically that makes him a Felon.

There is a question as to whether or not President Obama was even born in this country. One man investigating this suddenly was deluged with Federal Law Suits. That in itself should never happen. It is using the government to intimidate. The question of his birth is still out there. Why isn't it addressed by the Republican opposition? I have no idea why it isn't. I do know he was disbarred in Illinois for not telling about using a second name. That is a Federal Offence. Yet he is running for President? Opps, another felon in the White House?

President Clinton had a problem with his personal life. Having sex with an intern makes him a felon. I don't think he served in the military either.

Do you have to be Felon to serve as President?

I would like to see the subject of a Draft brought up in questioning both candidates for President.

When I turned 18, I was scared of being drafted. Now I consider that anyone able, including myself, may be called to serve in some capacity or another. If it means protecting my family, off I go.
