This works real well for those with a basement. The temperature will remain stable throughout the year, so there is no need to worry about it getting too hot, unlike an upstairs room. My basement remains between 65 and 75 regardless of the season. Keeping the upstairs cool helps.

Although nudity has been historically against the beliefs of many conservatives with sexual hangups, it’s also a major part of a lot of world-class art, from Greek to French, and even some Christian-related art. The problem isn’t nudity, as nude human bodies themselves aren’t dirty or perverse; it’s the WAY the media uses the nudity to incite lust, envy, and to sell things using emotional needs and prey on peoples’ loneliness; Same goes for nice cars/houses/stuff: It’s ok to have and enjoy, but once you make it a highly-craved item, something that people emotionally and socially NEED in order to feel like they’re human or worth anything, and you use it to manipulate people, that’s when it gets socially destructive and becomes an evil. Subliminal messaging for the sake of using people without their knowledge is just wrong. Can not believe that is even legal, but at the same time I can; I bet it makes SO much money.

The anecdote about Jim Peters and Robert Brown would have had to have taken place almost *30 years ago*. They were sentenced for their murder of two young women in 1983…the long gun registry wasn’t even proposed until 1993.

The key difference between Switzerland and the US is the maturity of the population.

Most Swiss adults don’t have guns issued by their government as a right – it is a citizens responsibility. Their government also ensures they are properly trained and attend regular refresher training.

Compare that to the US experience of “the adult child” exercising the right to a gun and never taking gun safety courses because they have been born with natural talent on how to use and maintain their gun.

Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. But in which countries streets would you feel safer walking down? Switzerland or American?

I would be more concerned about a nuke war between India and Pakistan with the fall out floating over the west coast. I would also be more concerned about an EMP problem from a rouge state or a burst from the sun. A wide spresd EMP burst would kill more people over a year than a small nuke in a city.

We have mastered and done some of these. I do have a social life through Church. I might add that I am never really alone for when I live right the Holy Ghost is my companion. We also do not shop on Sunday. I would not miss a cell phone as they do not work where we live, but I do like to read things on the internet. I am quite content working in my vegetable garden.

For someone that made 130,000 a year for many years, they should have paid off their mortgage early. To gain wealth you need to live below your means and pay down debt in good times. Many Americans were foolish when it comes to holding too much debt. If he is working for $15 an hour, 40 hours a week times 50 weeks a year works out to around 30,000 a year. They should consider moving to a lower cost area and renting an apartment or a lower cost small home and grow a garden to help lower their cost of living. There are things that our grandparents use to do to get by and live a simple life instead of buying a bunch of expensive high tech junk that they really don’t need to live.

To go along with the food, I have water stored in a bunch of 2-liter bottles formerly used for soda. They are kept in the dark inside cupboards. I have additional water stored in several opaque six-gallon jugs. All have a smidge of bleach added to them.

WOW, a very concise starter for anyone looking to get into this. A couple of my friends have started keeping ducks (not for the meat as they see them as pets) but they have used the eggs. Unfortunately I don’t think they are aware of what is coming down the road. I have tried to encourage them to keep rabbits as well but at the moment they’re content with the ducks. I have learnt that you don’t have to be doom and gloom about the future to your friends to encourage them to take the necessary decisions, just make suggestions that take them down the right road.
